Hall of Fame Inductee - Karen Zorec-Morrison

As you can guess from the name, Karen is married to Steve. In fact, they met while she was on the team and the rest, as we say, is history. Karen was a member of the team from 1987 to 1990 and stepped up to the role of head coach in 1990 after Steve left. From 1990 to 1993, she coached the team to three 2nd place finishes at the University Nationals competition. Karen left a legacy which includes a strong emphasis on cheer basics such as motions and cheers. She also coached our other two Hall of Fame inductees. For her outstanding contributions to the advancement of the cheerleading program at Waterloo, Karen is inducted into the Hall of Fame and was presented with the Footprint award.
